A strategic diesel reserve of between 10 million and 20 million litres will be established in SA to bolster supplies and provide assurance to farmers, the state government says.

The opposition, which had called for such a move, says it could have been done weeks ago.

What’s next?

The outcome has been welcomed by Grain Producers SA, as well as a farmer who uses “over 200,000 litres a year”.
