As in previous seasons, Williams has incorporated elements of the Union Jack into its livery, though where this has previously appeared on its engine cover, this year the flanks for the FW48’s nose has been restyled.

Drivers Carlos Sainz Jnr and Alexander Albon will also have special overalls to tie in with the team’s new look for the British Grand Prix.

The team scored its first of 114 grand prix victories at Silverstone in 1979. However it has endured a difficult season so far in 2026. Having taken fifth in the championship last year it arrives at its home race in eighth place.

Williams is hoping to make a significant step forward as it will introduce a significant upgrade package for its home round. It has been struggling with an overweight car since the start of the season.

Prior to the race, Williams will take a show car displaying its new livery on a tour of four British cities: Cardiff, Manchester, Edinburgh and London.
