Body of triple murderer Julian Ingram found by police

Police have found a body believed to be that of accused triple murderer Julian Ingram in the state’s central west.

Ingram was last seen leaving Lake Cargelligo shortly after allegedly shooting his former partner Sophie Quinn, 25, her friend John Harris, 32, and her aunt Nerida Quinn, 50, on January 22.

Police on Monday located what is believed to be the Lachlan Shire Council ute Ingram was seen leaving town in.

A body, believed to be the 37-year-old’s, was found with the vehicle at Mount Hope, about an hour from Lake Cargelligo.

Police conducted large-scale searches of Mount Hope and surrounds after reported sightings of Ingram in the area in the days after the shootings.

The remains of the body are yet to be formally identified.
