The police constable recruitment written examination held in Bagalkot and Jamkhandi cities on Sunday (August 2) were conducted smoothly.
Bagalkot Deputy Commissioner Sangappa and Superintendent of Police Siddharth Goyal visited four centres at BVV Sangha in Bagalkot city before inspecting centres in Jamkhandi city. They sought and received information from officials about the arrangement of exam rooms, basic facilities provided to the candidates, drinking water, toilets, seating arrangement and security measures. The Deputy Commissioner instructed the officials to take necessary steps to ensure that the exam is conducted transparently without any hindrance.
The Superintendent of Police inspected the performance of police personnel deployed at the exam centres. Tight police security was arranged around the centres, and the candidates’ registration and security checks were strictly conducted. Prohibited items included mobile phones. Additional Deputy Commissioner Ashok Teli and Deputy Director of the Pre-University Education Department Pundalik Kamble also inspected the centres in Bagalkot city.
Candidates were allowed to enter the centres after they showed their admit cards and identity cards. Candidates cooperated during the dress code inspection, and the examination was conducted successfully as per the schedule, said a release.
