And then there were eight in the 2026 NBA Playoffs. The second round of the postseason bracket continued as Cade Cunningham and the Pistons took down the Cavaliers Thursday night to take a 2-0 series lead. The Thunder, meanwhile, stayed perfect for the playoffs with a win over the Lakers.

Elsewhere, the Knicks went up 2-0 on Wednesday night over the 76ers, who put up a spirited effort but could not pull out the win at Madison Square Garden without Joel Embiid. Later that night, the Spurs bounced back with an emphatic response — a 133-95 win over the Timberwolves to even the series at 1-1.
