Andrea Kimi Antonelli headed the sole practice session for the Dutch Grand Prix.

Hungarian Grand Prix winner Lando Norris split the two Mercedes drivers at the top of the times at the end of the single hour of running at Zandvoort.
Rain before the session began left the track damp but drying as the session started. Although the first drivers to join the track used intermediate tyres they quickly decided it was ready for slicks.
Antonelli was the first of the front-runners to set a competitive time. The Mercedes and Ferrari drivers exchanged the quickest times on the harder rubber.
Drivers switched to the soft tyres with 10 minutes to go in order to simulate their qualifying runs. The Ferrari drivers briefly led the way, then Norris narrowly beat Lewis Hamilton.
Antonelli’s first attempt at a qualifying run was spoiled when he encountered Nico Hulkenberg’s Audi during his lap. However his soft rubber proved capable of performing another run and the world championship leader duly dipped under the 1’13 mark, setting a best time of 1’12.949.
No one else could match that. Norris also improved his time but ended up a tenth of a second behind Antonelli, leading the other Mercedes of George Russell by a mere four thousandths of a second.

The Ferrari pair came next, followed by Oscar Piastri in the other McLaren. Neither Red Bull appeared in the top 10, Max Verstappen struggling with oversteer on his way to the 11th-fastest time.
Liam Lawson was half a second slower than Max Verstappen on his return to Red Bull. Isack Hadjar, whose seat Lawson has temporarily taken over, appeared at the track with his injured wrist during the session.
Audi showed strong pace again, Nico Hulkenberg setting the seventh fastest time. He was separated from his team mate by Pierre Gasly, who is the only Alpine driver to benefit from the team’s upgrade package this weekend.
Arvid Lindblad completed the top 10, nine-tenths of a second quicker than the returning Yuki Tsunoda in the other Racing Bulls. Honda’s new power unit helped Fernando Alonso to 12th in the times sheets behind Verstappen.
Williams driver Carlos Sainz Jnr ended the session slowest. He went off three times: twice at Hans Ernst and once at turn 13.
