This week’s poll asked which European track should Formula 1 race at if it cannot hold its planned final races in the Middle East.
Magny-Cours in France is one potential venue which still has the necessary licence to hold F1 races. But would the current cars race well there?
These cars are massive and heavy. Magny-Cours was tight and narrow in the 1990s and 2000s, but the cars were lighter, nimble and more than 1.5 metres shorter.
As great as they looked in qualifying using the kerbs, the Adelaide hairpin was pretty much the only passing opportunity in the race. I fear these cars would look ridiculous around there now.
