The FIA has set a date to hear Alpine’s request for a Right of Review hearing over Pierre Gasly’s Monaco Grand Prix penalties.

Alpine will meet the stewards via video conference on Thursday.
The team aims to overturn Gasly’s two five-second time penalties for exceeding the pit lane speed limit during Sunday’s race. An extra 10 seconds were added to his total time at the end of the race which dropped him from third place to seventh in the final classification.
Four other drivers also received pit lane speeding penalties during the race: Mercedes’ George Russell, McLaren’s Oscar Piastri, Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton and Gasly’s team mate Franco Colapinto. Some drivers served their penalties during the race while others, like Gasly, took them afterwards.
Alpine warned Gasly before he first came into the pits that Russell had been penalised for speeding. After Gasly collected his first penalty the team told him to take extra care when passing through the pits. However he incurred a second penalty, something no other driver managed.
The last team to challenge a penalty decision through a Right of Review hearing was Williams. The team successfully overturned a decision which went against Carlos Sainz Jnr, but as he had already served his penalty during the race, it could not be rescinded.
