In short:

Iran and Israel say they have halted attacks on each other for now, after the two countries traded large-scale missile attacks.

But Israel has vowed to press attacks on Hezbollah in south Lebanon despite Iranian warnings.

What’s next?

US President Donald Trump says both sides were seeking an immediate ceasefire.
