By Ontario’s police watchdog is investigating a fatal shooting involving Toronto police officers in Mississauga.
The Special Investigations Unit said the shooting unfolded near Council Ring Road and The Collegeway around 12:22 a.m. Thursday.

Officers were conducting an investigation when the shooting broke out; one male suffered life-threatening injuries and another male was taken to hospital with minor injuries. An officer was also taken to hospital with minor injuries following a collision.

Three people were taken into custody, and there is no outstanding suspects, the SIU said.
It did not provide any other information other than the shooting later turned fatal.
The SIU is set to provide an update at 9:30 a.m.
