Former Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene’s failure to sign Andrea Kimi Antonelli was argubly not the only example of him failing to value promising young talents:
Maurizio Arrivabene was also in favor of renewing Raikkonen’s contract at the end of 2018 and opposed the idea of promoting Leclerc to Ferrari. It was Sergio Marchionne (RIP), shortly before his death, who decided for Leclerc’s promotion.
