‘We first need to define what exactly we mean by an FIA engine. Having an engine solution that protects the sport and provides a safety net in case we ever find ourselves without enough engine suppliers is, I think, a very worthwhile objective. Our priority remains manufacturer participation, because that’s extremely important to us. But how exactly we create that safety net is something that is still being discussed at the moment.’
