Ferrari will run a special livery for their home race at Monza commemorating Michael Schumacher’s 1996 Italian Grand Prix victory.

The team called the design “a special livery inspired by the Ferrari F310” which Schumacher drove during his first season with the team 30 years ago. He won three races for them, the Spanish, Belgian and Italian grands prix.
Ferrari described their livery for this weekend’s race as “predominantly red, with some white on the wings, together with black.”
“The wheels, from BBS as was the case back then, have a hint of gold, recalling the original colour of the magnesium rims used that season,” they added.
The design also incorporates Schumacher’s ‘MS’ logo and the seven-starred helmet design he wore later in his career. He arrived at Ferrari as a two-times world champion and won five titles with them in consecutive seasons from 2000 to 2004.
Ferrari drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will also wear special overalls for this weekend’s race.
The team will arrange two demonstration runs during the event using an F2002 chassis which Schumacher raced in 2002. Four-times world champion and former Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel will demonstrate the car before the grand prix on Sunday and Rubens Barrichello, Schumacher’s team mate from 2000 to 2005, will do the same on Saturday.
