By The Hyderabad City Police has invited applications for 150 Special Police Officer (SPO) posts on a purely temporary basis.
Applications have been invited from ex-servicemen, ex-paramilitary personnel and retired police personnel who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria.
Ex-servicemen should be below 58 years of age as on August 31, 2026. Ex-paramilitary personnel and retired police personnel who retired from service within the last two years can apply, with an upper age limit of 62 years. Selected personnel will be paid a monthly honorarium of ₹26,000. They will not be entitled to paid leave and any leave taken will be without pay.
Applicants have to submit original documents along with photocopies, including their discharge book, discharge certificate or retirement order, Aadhaar and PAN cards, SBI passbook, voter ID and caste certificate. Technical trade proficiency certificates will have to be furnished where applicable.
Candidates applying for driver posts will also have to produce a valid LMV or HMV driving licence, along with three passport-size photographs. Interested candidates have to submit their applications personally at the SPOs Office, CAR Headquarters, Petlaburj, Hyderabad. The last date for submission of applications is August 25 at 5 p.m.
